Avoid Foreclosure Scams

Head over to msnbc.com for a good article about how you can avoid becoming the prey of a foreclosure scammer. Make sure you never take unsolicited advice from someone out of the blue. The big MO of these scammers is to get your name from your local county courthouse foreclosure records and contact you with ‘too good to be true’ promises. Unfortunately, to fulfill this promises these fraudsters will try to wring out any last bit of cash you may have left, or even more scary, convince you to sign over the deed to your house. If you are already suffering the stress of a foreclosure, make sure you contact an established reputable company and be very wary of anyone who calls you with unbelievable promises get you out of foreclosure.

Q What should I do if I am deep in debt?
A Whether it is caused by illness, the loss of your job, or simply just over-spending, a financial crisis of this sort can seem overwhelming, but it often can be overcome. Don't let your financial situation go from bad to worse.

Realistic budgeting, credit counseling from a good organization, debt consolidation, or bankruptcy, are some of your options. Knowing which one will work best for you depends on how high your debt is, if you can discipline yourself, and your prospects for the future.
